The Aylmer Group site is located along the banks of the North Saskatchewan River making it an ideal spot to use as a starting point to canoe or kayak towards Saunders, Horburg or Rocky Mountain House. This site is perfect for fishing as well with the river on your doorstep.
Aylmer Provincial Recreation Area is accessible by both road and river.
Canoeing / kayaking: Aylmer provides convenient canoe, kayak and river boat access to the North Saskatchewan River. The boat launch is located across the road from the Group Camping Area. The canoe trip from Aylmer to Rocky Mountain House takes approximately 12 hours.
