Crimson Lake Day Use

Information: 403-845-2330
Season: Year-round

On a hot summer day, Crimson Lake is the best place to go if you’re in the Rocky Mountain House area. It has a large sandy beach, playground, volleyball net, and more than 10 km of trails to keep you exploring during your visit.

There are fire pits and picnic areas near the beach and a shelter with a wood stove for cooking. If you visit the Crimson Lake Store on your way into the park, you can purchase firewood, snacks and more, or learn about the guided interpretive activities in the park.

In the winter, the groomed and packed trails are perfect for fat biking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. A skating rink gives visitors a chance to skate freely or start a game of shinny hockey with friends.
