Dry Island Buffalo Jump is a secret gem in the Alberta Parks system. Located near Trochu, Alberta, the Park offers breathtaking scenic views of the Red Deer river valley. A favorite spot for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers, the area boasts over 150 different species of birds, from warblers to turkey vultures! The hand boat launch provides access to paddlers who are keen to experience the badlands from the water. Hike on informal trails that wind through the coulees and native grasslands and take note of the sensitive plants that grow along the way.  This Park is day use only, but picnic sites with firepits are available. The road is only passable when dry and will close during wet weather events due to slippery and dangerous road conditions

50 km east of Innisfail on Hwy. 590, 10 km south on Hwy. 21 & 15 km east on access road; Tolman campgrounds located nearby (22 km east of Trochu along Hwy. 585)
