Where: Cougar Creek Canyon from the junction of Montane Trail and Lady Macdonald Trail, upstream for approximately 1km.
No access to Cougar Canyon for recreational uses.
Montane Trail and Horseshoe Loop remain open.
Lady Macdonald Trail is open, but may be subject to intermittent short term closures to accommodate construction activities.
Why: Construction activities will be taking place to support the Town of Canmore Cougar Creek Sediment Retention Structure Project. To ensure visitor safety around the construction site, Alberta Parks is closing the access to Cougar Creek Canyon for all recreational uses.
