Details:Due to below average seasonal temperatures, potable water (drinking water) will not be available for the May Long Weekend and campground opening. Potable water is not expected to be available until after the long weekend. Non-potable water is expected to be available from the campground water taps, pending system start up. Non-potable water is not safe for consumption.
Please plan accordingly and bring your own water.
The Waskahigan Group Use Area provides access to the outdoors in an easily accessible location south of Valleyview off Highway 43. A picnic shelter with a firewood stove enables campers to enjoy meals no matter the weather. Individual firepits and a shared firepit located behind the picnic shelter are perfect for smaller or larger groups. Campers can compete in a game of horseshoes at the horseshoe pit or organize their own activity in the open space near the shelter.
A parking lot, water pump, and vault toilet are available on-site.
Potable water is available at the campground.
