Construction Closure - Vault Toilet Replacement Construction

Where: Area A Group Use , Area B Group Use , Area C Group Use , Information & Facilities , Main Day Use , Wyndham-Carseland Campground , Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park , Wyndham-Carseland Wall Tent ComfortCamping , Park Road

Access: Main Day Use is closed, the walking trail along the river with access from Camping Loop A to comfort camping is open.

Details:

Wyndham-Carseland is undergoing construction for vault toilet replacement.

Walking trails starting in Camping Loop A leading to the river trail is open.
The river trail to comfort camping area is open.
The river trail past the comfort camping will be closed.
Washroom access by comfort camping is available.

During this time there will be heavy equipment on site and moving through out the park, the campground loops, roadways and day use areas.

Please follow the direction of all signage, barricades and personnel in the area. Please stay out of active construction zones and do not park in front of gates.

Wyndham-Carseland will be under construction until May 2026.

Closure - Comfort Camping Closed for 2026

Comfort camping is closed at Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park for the 2026 camping season.

Construction Closure - Delayed Campground Opening Dates

Details:

Alberta Parks is replacing vault toilets at Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park and there will be a delayed opening to the campground this season due to construction. The following can be expected:

Camping Loop A and B will open on May 29, 2026
Camping Loop C will open on May 15, 2026
The Group Camping Areas will open April 24, 2026
The main Day Use Area will open for public access on May 15, 2026

Campsite reservations can be made online at shop.albertaparks.ca

Be aware of heavy equipment on site and moving throughout the park, the campground loops, roadways, and Day Use Areas. Please do not park in front of the gates.

Wyndham-Carseland will be under construction until the end of May 2026.

This large campground is in Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park, 2 km east and 2 km south of Carseland on Hwy. 24. Sites are suited to tents and RVs, with trees and shrubs providing shade and privacy. Camp along the Bow River, where you can fish, canoe, or explore the nature trail along the river. Group camping and comfort camping sites can be reserved here as well.
