A gravel trail leads to a raised boardwalk, which traverses an expansive wetland surrounding the southeastern shore of Crimson Lake. There's an elevated viewing platform for wildlife watching in the middle of the boardwalk.  Boardwalk is a connector trail, connecting Fallen Timber, North Woods and Amerada trails.

In winter, contact the Alberta Parks office in Rocky Mountain House for trail updates.

The viewing platform includes stairs.
