Details: The Rock Lake Access Road is subject to sudden flooding during the spring and summer due to rising water on the Wildhay River. Please proceed with caution into the park, especially after heavy precipitation or snow melt from the mountains. Alberta Parks is monitoring the road; however, river levels can change rapidly.
Rock Lake Provincial Park is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This popular staging area provides easy access to equestrian, hiking and mountain biking trails in the Rock Lake-Solomon Creek Wildland, Willmore Wilderness Park, and northern Jasper National Park.
In the park, you will find multiple camping opportunities ranging from drive-in campsites, walk-in tent sites, or equestrian campsites with horse corrals. Facilities within the park include picnic shelters, water pumps, firewood, a boat launch, fish cleaning stations, and a horse loading ramp. Rock Lake also offers hiking and mountain biking opportunities and is a popular fishing destination.
