This campground is found in Tay River Provincial Recreation Area, 16 km southwest of Caroline on Hwy. 591. Sites are suited to both RVs and tents. Most are in an open grassy field, with a few choice sites by the river. The Tay River is good for fishing. There are OHV and horse trails nearby. Horses are not permitted in the campground and OHVs must be on trailers while in the recreation area.
Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this provincial campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. As a result, Alberta Parks recommends that you bring your own drinking water.
