Elbow Falls Day Use Area is a popular attraction featuring easy access to a large waterfall. The falls are along a short, mostly paved trail that has several sets of stairs that provide visitors with multiple viewpoints to enjoy the scenery. The parking lot is large, and there are multiple pit/vault toilets but no picnic tables at this location. It can be used as parking for The Prairie Mountain Trail, Elbow Valley Trail, Prairie Creek Trail, and Powderface Creek Trail.

    Highway 66 (west of Elbow Falls) and Powderface Road are closed annually from December 1 to May 14. See the full list of annual road closures.
