A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

This field study examines the amazing geological history of Kananaskis Country. Traveling south from Barrier Lake, students will explore 3 different programming locations. Each stop represents one chapter in the geology of the Rocky Mountains: deposition, rock formation, mountain building and erosion. Students participate in an activity at each stop which demonstrates the geologic process.
