Education Programs at the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation

The Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation is a hub for a variety of programs offered to schools and day camps from Slave Lake and surrounding communities. Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory (LSLBO) and park staff manage and coordinate these programs, offering unique and valuable education opportunities to students and teachers.

School groups may be on site on any Monday-Friday during the school year, and we often have day camp groups at the BCBC during the summer months. Students and day campers may be utilizing the exhibit gallery, washrooms, and grounds in and around the BCBC. Please be respectful of these activities and the groups participating in them. Please do not interfere with student groups or staff instructing classes.
