The Cypress Hills hold national environmental significance due to their high cultural value and the unique habitat they provide for many rare or endangered flora and fauna. The high ecological value is derived from the Cypress Hills’ anomalous physiography, as they tower up to 600 metres over the surrounding prairies.
Join Alberta Wilderness Association and our partners for a day of exploring Cypress Hills, its history, and its many species! Learn from species experts, help record and identify species, and come along for exhibits, walks, activities and more.
