Calling all adventurers! Step off the beaten path and into the dramatic landscapes of Dinosaur Provincial Park. This challenging journey will take you deep into the restricted areas of the park, exploring steep slopes, hidden coulees, and fossil-rich outcrops that make this UNESCO World Heritage Site so renowned. Your experienced guide will show you the best of what any day in the badlands has to offer.

With a knowledgeable guide by your side, you'll:

  • Traverse rugged terrain and witness breathtaking panoramic views.
  • Uncover the secrets of this unique ecosystem and its rich palaeontological history.
  • Watch for local wildlife and perhaps even find your own dinosaur bone fragments.
  • Enjoy a rewarding sense of accomplishment after conquering the challenging terrain.

This is not your average hike. Prepare for a physically demanding adventure that will push your limits and leave you with lasting memories.

Important Notes:

  • Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Accessibility: This program is not suitable for those with mobility limitations. Participants must be able to hike up to 5 km over very difficult terrain.
  • Weather Conditions: Cancellations may occur due to extreme weather events, including extreme heat and rain.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe and closed-heel sturdy walking shoes are required for this tour. (No sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs.)
  • Hydration: Participants are required to bring at least 2 litres of water/person.
  • To preserve the integrity of our fossil sites, digging is not allowed on tours, but you will have the chance to touch fossils discovered in the field.
