Operational Service Change - Water Shut Off Sept. 26, 2025

Details:
• Water to the campground taps and shower house will be turned off on September 26, 2025 for the fall and winter seasons.
• The shower building will be closed September 24, 2025 for the winter.
• There is an all-season tap at the entrance of the dump and fill station will remain on through the entire year and is potable water. 
• The Visitor Centre will have flush toilets available from 9am - 5pm daily until October 12, 2025. 

Low Water Levels - Changing river levels of the Milk River

Where: Area A Group Use , Area B Group Use , Writing-on-Stone Campground , Writing-on-Stone Day Use , Writing-on-Stone PP , Writing-on-Stone Visitor Centre VisitorCentre

Details: The Milk River diversion repair was completed ahead of schedule and regular flow rates have been restored. River recreators are advised to use caution in early July as debris and old organic matter flushes through. Operational Service Change - Hoodoo Hut Services

Where: Hoodoo Hut Campground Store , Writing-on-Stone PP

Details: NEW for 2025:  The Hoodoo Hut Convenience Store, located in the campground, will operate as a self-service center in July,  August and September. It will provide basic supplies such as beverages and snacks. Check-ins for regular campsites will not be required; campers will print their permits at home and proceed directly to their site after 4:00pm the day of their arrival. Staff will patrol the campground and confirm reservations. For support related to walk-up registrations, comfort cabin check-ins and paying for additional units for group use, please proceed to the Visitor Center [hours].
