Details:Heavy rain is expected in the Bow Valley area, and river levels are already high, with some areas experiencing flooding along the Bow River. Visitors should be aware that flooding may occur and use extreme caution. Backcountry users need to be aware that rising water levels could impact navigation. Grotto Mountain Pond Day Use Area is a small, quiet retreat nestled at the base of Grotto Mountain. This easy-access spot is ideal for picnicking, short walks, and enjoying views of the surrounding cliffs and forest. It also serves as a starting point for several hiking trails, making it an ideal place to begin exploring the landscapes of Kananaskis Country.
