Join us behind the scenes in the palaeontology lab at the Visitor Centre where you will create an authentic fossil cast that will be yours to keep! Will you be able to identify which fossil you have replicated, and guess what marvellous ancient creature it came from?
Surrounded by the real tools of the trade, you will learn how casts are made, and how they are used by palaeontologists and museums around the world to share of ancient life.
The casting portion takes place on a shady back porch, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the Paleo-Lab and galleries. Admission to the Visitor Centre is included with your program fee.
This indoor program can be modified to be wheelchair accessible upon request.
