Guided Excavation 1-Day

Programming has ended for the year. Bookings for the 2024 season will open in mid-February.

Work to excavate dinosaur fossils at one of the richest fossil localities in the world. On the Guided Excavation program, you will work alongside an experienced palaeontological technician to expose and collect 75-million-year-old fossils as part of an active bonebed excavation.

Your day will include training in palaeontological field techniques, hands-on work to expose and collect dinosaur fossils, and learning about current dinosaur research. Contribute to ongoing research done by the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology and find out firsthand why this exceptional landscape was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This program is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Cancellations may occur due to extreme weather events, including extreme heat and rain.

Please note: Sturdy running or hiking shoes are required for this tour.
