North Kootenay Pass

Follow in the footsteps of the K’tunaxa (Kootenai) on the trail they used for their annual migrations and trading route. The North Kootenay Pass Trail runs through wooded, subalpine terrain paralleling the Carbondale River before ascending to open terrain to the pass. As you cross over the continental divide, you will enter British Columbia.

This trail is not recommended during heavy run off.
