Features

    Book a getaway in this private hut nestled in mixed lodgepole and white spruce forest. Reesor Lake, viewpoints, and trails are nearby, providing recreation opportunities for the whole family.

    This hut can accommodate 4 people with one bedroom and a sitting/eating area. There is lighting and 12v electrical outlets powered by solar panels and a wood stove for cozy winter nights. There are outhouses and a cook shelter available in the nearby campground.

    There is no vehicle access to Reesor Lake Hut. Summer Access - Parking is available at the entrance to Reesor Lake Campground and the hut is located approximately 150m walk from the parking area. A wagon is provided for campers to transport their belongings from the parking area to the hut. Winter Access - Parking is available at Reesor Dock, access to the hut is by ski or snowshoe along Reesor Lake Road, approximately 2.5km. If road access to Reesor Lake Dock is not available due to weather conditions, access will be from the Reesor Viewpoint, approximately 4.5km.

Rules

    • Payment and check-in/check-out is at the Campground Registration Booth (Visitor Centre, Sept-May).
    • Check-in time is 4:00 pm.  Early check-in is not guaranteed.
    • Check-out time is 12:00 noon.  Late check-out is not available.
    • Late Arrivals: If you are arriving after our hours of operation, please call ahead to the Visitor Centre to make special arrangements to access your comfort camping unit.  
    •  Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to 2 p.m. on the day of check-in.  Cancellations may only be done by contacting the Reservation Line at 1-877-537-2757 or online at Reserve.Alberta.ca
    • Pets are not allowed in or around the buildings (with the exception of service dogs).
    • Smoking and/or vaping of tobacco and cannabis is strictly prohibited inside the buildings.

    • Cooking stove and fuel
    • Firewood (*provided November 1 - April 30)
    • Food and water
    • Bedding/sleeping bag
    • Towels and toiletries
    • Matches and newspaper for lighting the wood stove
    • Flashlights and/or lanterns
    • Appropriate clothing and footwear
    • Cell phone

Please Note

    • There is no drinking water on-site, bring your own.
    • Dispose of grey water (e.g. dish water) in the outhouse.
    • Pack out all garbage.
